Welcome to TEDS!

Thank you very much for visiting the TEDS website.

The TEDS website needs a program called FLASH to be installed on your computer so that you can see everything in the website and take part in the online activities.  Most computer web browsers already have FLASH installed but your either your web browser doesn't yet have it or it doesn't have an up to date version of Flash. Please click here to get FLASH before you visit the rest of our site.  (It only takes a couple of minutes.)

Twins Early Development Study (TEDS): The focus of the Twins Early Development Study (TEDS) is the issue of nature (the characteristics we inherit from our parents) and nurture (our environments such as home or school). TEDS is finding out how genes (nature) and the environment (nurture) affect development by comparing identical twins and fraternal (non-identical) twins. TEDS twins were born in England and Wales between 1994 and 1996 and have been helping us out ever since. TEDS families have given us a wealth of information in special TEDS booklets, TEDS questionnaires, face to face visits with the TEDS team, over the telephone and now on the TEDS website too. We hope that you will enjoy these new web based activities; please let us know if you have any questions at all. Thank you very much for your help in our important work.
